Business Walks for Creativity – All Seasons
Business Walks for Creativity – All Seasons. I watched a Ted Ex video the other day about chat walks. Taking your business meetings and making them outside meetings. Inspired by this talk, one has only to think about some of the following items: decide on the location of the walk the length of time available to walk whom you will meet with what you will discuss and the weather of course. The amount of stress alone saved in taking a chat walk is worth its weight in gold. Copy Room Manners
Copy Room Manners I like to start all the new staff out in the copy room for the first few days. They get to meet everyone they will be working with right there; as well as learn what copy room idiocracies each different employee possesses. They are moving away from the fast-paced lifestyle of city dwelling and migrating to the rural areas of the country. To say they are taking a hit in their salary range would be an understatement. So why are they doing it? Peace of mind Having the big bucks doesn’t necessarily help you much when all you want to do is be out on the bike trails, riding downhill,…

Hire People with Education and Experience
Savvy Leaders Hire People with Education & ExperienceFrankly over my lifetime I have been through a host of interviews, talent searches, resume courses, and blah blah blah. Anyone of those companies I have interviewed for in my career could read this article and go "she's talking about me". Actually I am not. I don't have anyone or company in mind. What I have is a life time of experiences, and that is the simple truth.Recently a friend, whom I would say was “in the know” suggested that people need to leave their education off of their resumes. If people are getting overlooked because of their prior qualification and education, then…
