Invite Innovatives and Creatives to the table

Invite Innovatives and Creatives to the table.

Today’s common sense quote: The art of discipline is a hard and tenacious battle with one’s own will and personal leadership style. You either let your emotions rule the day, or you get a handle on that day by leaving your emotions outside the door.  Better yet, take the hinges off the door so it is open, and allow transparency to have a chance to breathe and grow. Invite innovation and creativity to the table.”

Open office vs mindfulness concepts

I find it rather humorous that many well-meaning higher-ups are still tinkering with the open office concepts.   Yet they lack open mindfulness.  When you put two or more creative people in a room and add a couple of innovators, it’s going to get chatty.  These are what you would call life-long, “self-lead-learners”.

Innovation and creativity are not cultivated or formed inside a silo. However, open concepts are right up their alley!  Successful people talk to one another, face-to-face, in real-time.  They aren’t burdened with a clock ticking on the wall, or a sour time supervisor making sure everyone is dotting their “i’s”, and crossing their “t’s”.   Their minds don’t shut off until they are actually tired.  Period!

The ability of a student to learn on their own is only measured by their own desire to be successful.

Creative People: Creatives

Creatives get bored easily with protocols and rehearsed meetings.   But that is not to say that they aren’t sticklers for consistency and organization.  Creatives like things a certain way, their way!   It is wise to leave them alone. Please, don’t touch their stuff either.  What their area looks like is a reflection of what is occurring in their head at the moment.  They are creating plans, designs, and developing methods that many people wish they had the patience to create themselves.

Innovative People: Innovatives

Innovatives have a tendency to speak what’s on their minds.  Like their creative cohorts, they like things their way.  Don’t worry about touching their stuff, because they will be going through yours!  You need to give innovators space and time.  Their methods might seem odd and maybe even a little bizarre at times, but I assure you, in the end, there will be meaning and purpose.  Their designs are always evolving, with plenty of built-in assessments for good business practices.  Just understand that the backs of paper flow charts and organizational hierarchies are something they use to write down their thoughts on.  ~File 13

Neither the Creative nor the Innovator has much need for agile systems from the past, either.  They walk hand in hand with AI to get through tasks at lightning speed.  At the other end of their developing framework will be the system that longs to be presented to others.  It just needs to be uncovered.

Re-exploring time -Leaders in their own right.

Envision people like Einstein, Gates, and a slew of techies and nerds.  The world needs strong leaders like these. Ones who can move with the times and never really grow old.  At least not mentally.  There is enlightenment and drive in their busy, information-driven mindsets.  Everyone grows older physically, but age is just a place where you land and are allowed to re-experience time again.  You get to re-explore time, and that is a great place to find yourself if you are an innovator and a creative, at any age.
