Out-of-Office I was trying to write an out-of-office (OOO) message the other day, and I wasn’t feeling any love flowing from the process. Rummaging through a number of my co-worker’s past OOO messages, it was apparent none of them were feeling the love when they wrote theirs either. Humility During Adversity Trying to remain humble and calm during times of adversity is a tough call. Humility During Adversity is a tough call. Especially when everyone around you is fighting mad, or suffering from some disappointment somewhere in their career or personal life. A working office environment has emotion and life to it. It’s Five O’clock SomewhereExcuse me as I juggle my way through the morning. First thing in the door I hear “we need this, have you heard from such and such, and don’t forget”. The World of Competitive DanceAt a dance competition this weekend I was able to observe hundreds of talented young dancers bringing their heart and soul to the stage, all in the name of dance. After 25 years of being in the dance world, I am ready to just kick back and watch the show. I don’t have to choreography, plan, buy, deal, negotiate, or be anywhere at 7:00 am until midnight. No more stage lights, fancy makeup, overpriced costumes, messed up lodging reservations, or getting lost in the big cities trying to find the venue.
