    Management – It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere

It’s Five O’clock SomewhereExcuse me as I juggle my way through the morning. First thing in the door I hear “we need this, have you heard from such and such, and don’t forget”. I am finally able to maneuver my way into my office and flip on my computer. As it is loading I check for voice messages and I’m not disappointed by the number of calls needing returned. A quick glance to my computer screen and I note that my e-mails just keep racking up one after another. I anticipate that it may be 11:00 or noon before I get through them all.Someone needs something in the other room,…

    Business walk on the Rocks

    /

I watched a video the other day about chat walks. Taking your business meetings and making them outside meetings. It also helps to cut your blood pressure down, beef up your cardio, raise those happy endorphins, and bring a level of wellness to your entire body. Steve Jobs once quoted…

    The World of Competitive Dance

The World of Competitive Dance At a dance competition this weekend I was able to observe hundreds of talented young dancers bringing their heart and soul to the stage, all in the name of dance. After 25 years of being in the dance world, I am ready to just kick back and watch the show. I don’t have to choreograph, plan, buy, deal, negotiate, or be anywhere at 7:00 am until midnight. No more stage lights, fancy makeup, overpriced costumes, messed-up lodging reservations, or getting lost in the big cities trying to find the venue. It isn’t a competition unless I get everyone lost at least once. I wouldn’t say…

Cell Phones & The Pre-Selfie Era – Welcoming In The New Millennials Some selfies are just worth it! When the UofU took a major championship, the Crimson Line dancers were partying down in the standsI   Life time photo! “Although Utah was not officially recognized as a national champion by the BCS (which crowned Florida in 2008), the team was ranked No.  1 in the final Anderson-Hester computer rankings after the 2008 season and was later officially credited by the NCAA as a national champion in 2018 due to its undefeated record and strong performance in the BCS era.” ~Google AI  Utah remains the only team from a non-automatic qualifying conference to play in two BCS…

    Public Health Eating Disaster

Are You A Public Health Eating Disaster Just how far have our appetites taken us, and what happens in the event of an unforeseen major disaster? Is sugar in the details? Are “we” the disaster? Are we caught up in a Public Health Eating Disaster? How do we incorporate eating sugar in moderation? Sugar, we are told it can be “good for the soul” by all the ads and marketing jiggles being filtered into our daily lives. Moderation is the key, but what if you are an eating disaster? Some days I’m an eating disaster! I have really good days; heck, I even have really good weeks. But then there…
